Decisions, decisions.

I have a problem. I’m really bad at making decisions. For a while, it was to the point where I couldn’t go to the grocery store, because AGH CHOICES HELP! It hasn’t been that bad in a while, but I do still find myself choosing not to eat rather than having to decide what to eat, because it’s easier.

So now, my dear Cloverhill Yarn has picked it’s next Knit-Along project, and it is a beautiful cardigan that comes in meri sizes. It’s name is Harvest, and the pattern is free. (Free, I say!)

Isn’t it pretty?

But lo! The choice has been made for you! You do not need to decide what to knit next, as you already know what it will be. So grab your yarn, grab your needles, and cast on, right?

Wrong.

While I have much yarn, I do not have much yarn in sweater quantities. (In fact, I checked my stash: I have exactly no yarn in sweater quantities. Not even the camel that I was dreaming about last night at knit night.) Most of the yarn I have, I could make a shawl, or a pair of socks, or a hat. Not a sweater. This means yarn shopping. Normally I love yarn shopping, but I appear to still be a bit flattened by Christmas, and it’s a bit overwhelming.

My criteria are: worsted weight, preferably super-wash (that’s a me thing, not a pattern thing), at least 2,000 yards available, will not bankrupt me. (Insert obligatory pony comment here.)

In the meantime, I’m pretty happy with how my Hitchhiker is working out. Only 4 repeats remain!

So, in between attempting to do page layout in Microsoft Word (don’t ask), doing laundry, trying to find my *#@$(* hoodie, and doing my PT stretches, I’ll be trying to shop for yarn. If you hear a soft *pop* from Burtonsville way, you know it was all too much for my little brain to handle, and my head imploded.
