I’m thinking of taking the ferry to Bainbridge Island on Monday. I love the water, and I love ferries, and there’s a lovely-looking yarn / tea shop on the Island. I would like to take the ferry out, and then drive back (two totally different views, from what I understand). Is this a sane thing to do? Also, is there reasonable parking on Bainbridge Island?
Yes this is a same thing to do any day you have clear skies…so today would be good but over the holiday people use the ferry to go to grandma’s house…which could be unpleasant from tomorrow through Monday am. Ferry lines are a drag
Hm. Maybe I’ll aim for mid-morning Monday. *plots* Thank you!
It was pointed out to me that, if I depart for the island mid-day, and I spend any time at all on the island, then it will be dark by the time I’m heading home, which would defeat some of the “awesome views” aspect of the whole thing. I think we (Jenn, Jim, and I) might actually try to do it this weekend, and make a day of it.
That is a good idea and Saturday probably best.
